Cleaning My OWN House!

alegna9

Sister’s,

It never fails,

Even if I clean my house every day, dusting, mopping, picking up socks, shoes, basketballs, gum wrappers, homework, mail; from the top of the house to the bottom; from room to room, it never fails, somebody will always come RIGHT behind me and make a mess! Trust me, I won’t be upset if the house stays clean for a day.

Mind you, I’m in the house with 2 gentlemen, and I don’t expect them to be spotless, but geez……if it looks like I’ve been in the house sweating before you came in the door, respect that! Hang up your coat, put your gym bag in the closet, take your homework off the table; ladies you know what I mean, right!

Well, have you ever thought that maybe God feels the same way about us! We invite him in the midst of our mess, sometimes BEG him to clean up our reoccurring issues! God, who is so merciful, cleans up situations that we’ve created and that we’ve refused to change; financial messes, relationship messes, job messes, spiritual messes…….and it never fails, even after we make vows and promise to never let our lives get out of control again, we go right behind God and dirty up the places that he’s made spotless!

It’s time for us to make a commitment to God and to ourselves and instead of inviting God in to clean up our mess, it’s time that we Clean up Our Own House! Take control of your life, don’t let everybody just come into your space, be picky about what you accept as your truth.  God has invested too much in you for you to live life so carelessly! Stay Committed to your Freedom and to your Vows that you’ve Made. The only person that can really jack you up…..is You! Just as much as you despise a dirty dish in the sink RIGHT AFTER you’ve just washed a sink full, Despise letting the enemy back into your life!

Love yourself enough to take control of your life. Clean up Your House! Not your Earthly house, but your Spiritual House because in the end, that’s the House that you’ll live in, eternally.

1 Corinthians 6: 19-20 ( Message Bible)

Didn’t you realize that your body is a sacred place, the place of the Holy Spirit? Don’t you see that you can’t live however you please, squandering what God paid such a high price for? The physical part of you is not some piece of property belonging to the spiritual part of you. God owns the whole works. So let people see God in and through your body.
