Shed The Weight

The Spring season officially started yesterday, 3/20, and you know what that means right? That means it's time to shed the weight. As our clothing gets lighter we start looking in that mirror more and find that there are some bumps that need to go. Shedding weight didn't start yesterday but many of you know that at the beginning of the year, weight loss is one of the most common resolutions.

FitandWell.com reported that most people abandon their New Year's Resolutions within 17.8 days of making them. I know, to you it wasn't a resolution but whatever you want to call it, studies show that it's broken before you can shed the weight.

Let's talk about a few of the other weights that we need to shed. Like depression, fear, anxiety, and relationships that should have ended years ago, carrying the weight of the family and creating happiness for everyone except for you. Me, being the weight carrier that I am, know very well how difficult it can be to let it all go.

What would happen if we made it up in our minds, put a solid plan together, and followed it for 30 days? When that 30 days is done, make a plan for the next 30 days and the next until we get the thing done. That might mean you need an accountability partner or maybe a therapist to guide you through the process of letting go.

Ladies, let's make a commitment to one another to get lighter this year. Not just physically but mentally. I want to experience peace in my body, in my emotions, and in my mind. Don't you?
